September Goals and a Sneak Peek

September already?!? Two years ago this would mean settling back into my townhouse in Blacksburg and having at least a full week of classes behind me…It STILL feels weird not to be heading back to Tech for fall semester…
Instead, this September we will be continuing to unpack the dozens of boxes that currently cover our living room floor…I’m SO ready to be fully unpacked and organized so that I can start decorating!! I’m also really ready for Fall…now that we’ve lived in Richmond for more than a year, I can confidently say that the fall in Richmond is the absolute BEST. I can’t wait to start wearing boots, cardigans and scarves…to drink pumpkin spice latte’s and caramel apple spice’s…for fall engagement sessions with pretty colored leaves…to watch Hokie football…or to  take long walks with Ryan in the city once the weather gets cooler.

But for now, while I’m still dreaming…here’s my September goals! Looking back at my Summer Goals is encouraging, because I got a lot done, but there are also some things that just didn’t happen. Hopefully I’ll make up for those things this month!

Personal/Life Goals:

  • Paint our bathrooms! I feel so accomplished because we finished painting the rest of our house (all pretty neutral colors which I’m loving), and all thats left is our little bathrooms! I see the light at the end of this painting tunnel!!!
  • Start working out with Jillian again (yep Jillian Michaels..we’re on a first name basis because I’ve spent so much time with her via her workout videos)…Somewhere in between moving, working, and vacationing this summer I forgot to keep up with my routine! ugh.
  • Set specific times to have phone dates with my best friends from college…This past weekend I got to spend time with some of them during one of their wedding weekends and it made me miss them so much more! It reminded me of how precious and encouraging their friendships are and that it’s going to take work and commitment to keep up with them long distance! But the work is so so worth it!

Business Goals:

  • Order moo.com business cards! I didn’t make this happen this past month, but I still love the quality and look of them so I need to get on this!
  • Organize my new little office and all of my business stuff so that I can keep up with it easily.
  • Organize my email inbox…it used to be so easy to keep my emails organized, but since I’m getting more now, I need to come up with some kind of filing system so that I don’t lose track of any of them!

And I’ll end with another peek at this cute couple!
