Confessions of a girl in the rebrand process…

I decided to jump into this rebranding process late last year…I was starting to feel like I was outgrowing my little blog and like it wasnt representing me very well… I really want a better and more professional place to show off my work and to share my stories…

The initial steps of rebranding are so FUN…the possibilities are endless and I spent so much time daydreaming about what it could look like and what direction I should take with it all the while pinning dozens and dozens of ideas to a new secret board on Pinterest (secret because I want it to be sort of a surprise!)…

What I didn’t expect when I first started rebranding, is how I would feel so overwhelmed and STRESSED about it at some points…you would think I was making some life or death decisions over here, because I’ve been approaching every little decision so carefully…I just really want it to represent me well and this is a BIG step towards my “what’s next”! I think that branding is really powerful and can go a long way towards building confidence!

All I know at this point is that I’m so thankful for my designer, Krista, and for her amazing skills and patience…she has been so great at helping me figure out what works best! I really want the new brand to be a little fancier and more high-end looking…When Krista and I first started planning, she sent me a questionnaire that asked me to describe my perfect branding in five key words among other questions…because I’m indecisive I picked a few more than five: Classy, Cozy but Sophisticated, Polished, Timeless, Feminine, Charming…I’m so excited to see Krista and I’s take on these words come to life! We are still in the early stages and are working on finalizing my new logo (eeeek!)..but I thought it would be fun to share a few peeks from my secret Pinterest board just because I’m so excited…of course like I said were still in the very early stages..so this is just a tiny tiny peek at the “feel” I’m going for…What do ya think? I’m so excited!

Can’t wait to see how this turns out! Also, “cozy but sophisticated” is the best way to describe you! You are so friendly and warm but you also have a very classic and understated style that is elegant but also super approachable!

This design board looks SO good! Take your time with the rebrand- I know it’s tempting to rush through it because you want to see your new site up and ready, but taking the time to really think through each step of the process helps you avoid looking back on it 6 months later and deciding you want to change again :).
