Mike and Stephanie

It’s always so much fun for me to shoot on this part of Monument Avenue in Richmond! So when Stephanie said she wanted to take her photos somewhere that would be classic and elegant I thought of the Branch House immediately…it’s the place where Ryan and I celebrated our wedding day so it will forever be special to me! I chose it for our wedding because it has such a European feel to it…and I think it was the perfect backdrop for Stephanie and Mike’s engagement session! I love how it reflected their personalities perfectly…

When I first met with Stephanie, she mentioned that she is picturing lots of candles on their wedding day and pale peach flowers…sort of a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme…and I immediately knew we were going to be the perfect match to work together! Not only does Steph have great taste, but she is also so sweet and down to earth…I love that she is such a planner but is laid back at the same time! Mike compliments her perfectly and I loved capturing their relationship as we made our way down Monument Avenue…

I had to remind myself a few times that we were, in fact, in Richmond and not some historic location in Italy! You’ll see what I mean…I’m so excited to share my favorites with you! I hope you enjoy!
