Grüß Gott from Deutschland and some iphone pictures!

Grüß Gott is how you say hello to a friend in the Southern region of Germany where my family lives! That thing that looks sort of like a B at the end of the first word makes a double S sound. So tricky. Right now Im trying to navigate this German keyboard…it has more letters than an American one and the letters are in different spots! My cousin said I could borrow his laptop tonight so I am taking full advantage of it! It’s so weird not having the internet at my fingertips whenever I want it on my phone…

But we are LOVING being here! It already feels like it’s going by too fast! Yesterday, Ryan and I stayed at Colmberg Castle in honor of our first anniversary…we navigated our way there and drove on the Autobahn all by ourselves..we were pretty proud..it was only about an hour away, but that was far enough considering GAS COSTS ABOUT $8.56 PER GALLON in Germany right now!!! WHAT!?!?!? How crazy is that!? I was so shocked. Tomorrow, we are heading to Austria with my family for a few days, which is about three hours and alot of gas away from the little town where my family lives…but hopefully it will be worth it to spend some time in the Alps!

I can’t wait to show you better quality pictures from my camera, but I thought Id try to give you an update on our trip through iphone pictures…they are pretty horrible quality, but will at least give you an idea of what we’ve been up to!

This is my cousins kitchen. Everything is so tiny here and I love it! Our fridge is probably twice that size!

Our favorite ice cream store in our little town!

On Monday we went to Bamberg…my favorite German city..It’s nicknamed “Little Venice” because parts of it were built over water!

A cafe where we had lunch outside in Bamberg! So pretty and such amazing food!

a random pretty building!

Germans have fun street signs..this one means caution..they also have a frowny face sign that means you are about to enter a construction zone..haha!

hanging out at a cafe!

Nutella to go…possibly one of the best ideas ever.

yummm! we drink cappuccino at least three times a day here.

a pretty church in a hillside town that Ryan and I found on our way to stay at Colmberg Castle!

The view from our room in the castle! It was on a mountain so you could see forever!

And that’s all for now! I need to pack for our trip to Austria and go to bed! I hope these made you excited to see pictures from my REAL camera! and danke schön (thank you very much!) to those of you who already entered my giveaway, and especially to those who told me about your favorite home décor blogs!! I’m SO excited to start reading them as soon as I’m back in the U.S.! I havnt picked a random winner yet, but I DID buy the chocolate for the winner already!!

So glad to see that you are having a wonderful time! The view from the castle is so pretty. And, I think they should adopt frowny face signs in America. Miss you!

Nice kitchen, what else can I say? ;-)
Think that this fridge is double the size of our first one ;-)
