I’m sitting in a coffee shop on this rainy day in Blacksburg on the edge of Virginia Tech’s campus drinking a pumpkin spice latte and feeling a little like a college student again as I type away (and pin things) on my laptop surrounded by my notebooks and planner…When I come back to Blacksburg, it always sort of feels like I never left…I think a part of my heart will always be here because I packed a lot of life into my college years and I did so much growing here…I’m actually in town because Ryan had to come on a mini business trip to represent his company at the Virginia Tech Engineering Career Fair…I decided to come along for fun and to meet with a bride! I havnt gotten much accomplished today because I keep seeing people I know (which I’m loving!), but it’s so fun being here even if it’s only for such a short time…
Today, I wanted to share my inspiration for my cozy, little office space in our new house just for fun (and because I might’ve spent too much time pinning things this morning…)! I have a lot of work to do, but I’m so excited to start turning it into a room I love to spend lots of time working in…It’s TINY so it’s going to be a challenge to use the space well…I’m going to need some good organization tips for small offices…My “Home Office Inspiration” board pictured below is the look and feel I’m going for…Picture a peach, navy, tan, white, and gray color palette…walking through a door with a glass doorknob…The walls are already painted a warm, tan color…I’m picturing a white or gray desk in one corner with a cute office chair and a fun desk lamp…I want a gallery wall with a doily shaped clock, big letter A, and a pretty bulletin board in a white frame to pin notes and ideas to…lace curtains and a navy or gray rug…a little sitting area with linen chairs and navy striped pillows sitting on them, and a peach table in between them…Picture a white tray with coffee in cute mugs and cookies sitting on the table waiting for clients who come to meet me…
It sounds like a good dream right? I like clean lines and modern elements mixed with more vintage-y pieces…Can you picture it? Hopefully I’ll be able to make it a reality in the not so distant future…I have a lot of work ahead of me but I’ll be sure to post pictures of it when it’s done!
I’m ordering another cup of coffee and then heading home to the RVA! Hope you’re having a wonderful Tuesday!
