I didn’t actually do any official mini sessions this year (ie. a bunch of shorter sessions back to back in the same location that generally has a theme – just for those of you who don’t know..by the way I made that definition up, so it might not be entirely accurate but that’s what they are in my mind! maybe next year I’ll do them…)…I’m calling this a mini session though because we took these so quickly!! Katie is one of my good friends…one of those that I talked about yesterday in Lauryn’s post…and a few weeks ago when Katie and her husband, John, were heading out of town, they stopped in the RVA for me to quickly take some Christmas card pictures for them!!

They met me at my house and then we headed over to the University of Richmond’s campus…sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that this place is like three minutes from my house!!! I think it’s such a beautiful and elegant campus and knew that it would make the perfect backdrop for a Christmas card…

Katie and John are so cute and fun! If you know Katie, you know that’s she’s super sarcastic and hilarious..and I love how John’s personality fits together so perfectly with hers…He’s quieter and so sweet to her, but also funny and their humor plays off of each other so well! Even though we don’t live very close to each other, I’m so thankful to know them…Katie is one of the only people that texts me almost every single day and she’s so good at making you feel encouraged and valued. I just love her!

Ahhh aren’t they the cutest?? I tell Katie practically every time I see her that her and John are going to have the most adorable babies…

I told John to make Katie laugh so he stuck his tongue out at her..haha…
