Today I’m really excited about the fact that Taylor Swift’s new music video is premiering…that’s probably not a very cool thing to announce, but her new album provided the background music for editing all of these…so I thought that made it an appropriate thing to share…and I’m JUST as excited if not more to show you Samantha’s senior portraits!!
I feel like I’m starting to hit my stride with senior portraits…For me learning to pose one person was a lot more difficult than learning to pose couples…It’s harder to make the pictures look unique and natural because there’s no one for them to interact with on camera! Sometimes it’s easy to fix this by having seniors bring along a friend or parent that they can interact with, which sometimes works well even though that person is not in the shot…It just depends on if the senior gets nervous in front of others or if having that person there makes them feel more comfortable! It’s totally a personal preference thing and should be decided on a case by case basis…
Samantha’s mom came a long with us for part of the session and she was so good at getting Sam to laugh! They are both such sweet and funny people and I really enjoyed talking with them while we walked around Old Town Portsmouth..Everytime I shoot in Old Town Portsmouth I love it even more…And Samantha is really photogenic which made my job easy!! Be sure to check out how awesome her model face is…
I hope you enjoy my favorites!!
So pretty!!
This next set of images on the teal and red stoop are definitely some of my favorites!!
Like I said..Samantha’s model face is amazing…
PRETTY.
LOVE this…
I love this color on you Sam!!
Laughing at something funny her momma said!
Gahhh look at those pretty leaves…I miss fall already…
Random story: While we were taking pictures in front of this old apartment complex, a woman came out and explained to us how it was haunted…Then we were kind of creeped out and we left this spot after that…
LOVE
Then we found this random telephone booth and pretended we were in London for a second…
We headed down to this dock right as it was starting to get dark…I love who soft and pretty the light is by the water!
cute!
Samantha, thank you so much again for having me take your senior pictures!! I hope you have an amazing rest of your senior year!!
