It’s always so fun for me when I get to take other photographer’s headshots…I love meeting new people and it’s especially fun getting to network with other Richmond photographers this way! I loved getting to know Ashleigh, of Cellar Door Images, a little as we walked around downtown Richmond…She is such a cool person and has so much technical knowledge!
Ashleigh studied photography in school and just recently started delving into the world of wedding photography…It was so fun hearing about her experiences with other types of photography (like food photography…so cool!!) and how different they are from shooting portraits and weddings. In my opinion learning about other types of photography can be so helpful for a wedding photographer because the shooting conditions are constantly changing throughout the day, since the lighting is constantly changing and since you move from shooting details to portraits to dancing shots, etc. I’m constantly trying to soak up new information through experienced photographers blogs, like Katelyn James, and through photographers who actually studied this stuff in school like Ashleigh! I’m learning more and more that doing well in this industry is so much about being a part of the community and I LOVE that aspect of this job.
Ashleigh, it was so fun meeting you!! Thank you so much for having me take your headshots! I hope you enjoy my favorites!
I’m trying a new format for blogging without my logo or the border..I havnt decided if I like this better or not yet…
Ashleigh is GORGEOUS. And she has great style…
so cute…
I am in love with these shoes…Ashleigh got them in PARIS, which makes them even cooler obviously…
love this next set of images…
I love all the colors in this shoot!
Richmond has a lot of really fun murals…
so pretty…
Ashleigh loves the texture of greenery, so we worked hard to find some trees in the city!
It was starting to get dark at this point, but I love the lighting in these…
And to end the shoot Ashleigh wanted a picture with the lights on the side of Havana 59 (one of my favorite Richmond restaurants!)
Happy Friday!!!
