Andy and Erica | Engaged!

I hadn’t been to DC in a very long time…well I guess I went once in college for a conference with a bunch of friends…but I hadn’t actually been there to explore the city in years and years (doesn’t that make me sound old? It really had probably been like 11 years…)…I used to go a lot as a kid with my family since my grandparents live in Alexandria…It was always so much fun to take the metro in and explore with my mom and dad, brother, sister, and my grandparents…

So when I got to go into the city with Erica and Andy, I felt like a major tourist…I couldn’t stop staring at all of the pretty buildings  or taking in the sites…Our plan was to start at Union Station and make our way over to the Capital Building..unfortunately, we didn’t realize that it would still be fenced off from the Inauguration the week before…so we had to compromise…We also accidentally chose one of the windiest days ever to shoot their session…

But the wind and rain didn’t phase Erica or Andy at all…That’s one of the things that I really admire about them! They are so laid back and their personalities mesh with each other perfectly…Even Andy mentioned that Erica is the most relaxed and laid-back bride ever…and when the groom says that about his OWN bride..you know that means it’s true. Erica and Andy, I am so excited and honored that you chose me to be a part of your big day! It’s going to be here before we know it!

LOVE this one…Erica you are too cute!

Union Station is so pretty!

This was about the time when it started to rain harder…Erica and Andy decided to add an hour to their wedding package instead of rescheduling half of their session! Erica said she really just wanted the practice in front of the camera so they are prepared for their wedding day. I thought that was really cute…getting practice is definitely a huge perk of doing an engagement session!

love this one…

A favorite!

Since the capital building was unexpectedly still completely blocked off from the inauguration, we drove as fast as we could to one more spot to grab these shots before it got too dark!

You guys are the cutest…

Happy Weekend!!

This is gorgeous!! I love how well you captured the beautiful architecture of Union Station without drawing too much attention away from the two of them. Wonderful job, girl! :)
