If I could write a letter to me and send it back in time to myself at 17 (I know this is starting to sound like a country song, but bear with me…), I’d tell myself to really enjoy the moment and embrace life where I was…I remember being anxious to get out of high school so that I could start working towards my dreams…and I also remember feeling really insecure…like I was never quite good enough…and I just wasnt really sure of who I was. I’d tell myself to rest in the fact that you are enough and that God has a perfect plan for your life…

And then I’d also tell myself to be more like Carrie Logan. Caronline is a photographer in PA and she’s only 17…and she’s even more beautiful on the inside than the outside if you can believe that’s even possible after looking through the pictures of her!! She’s still figuring out what her plans are for after high school…she hasn’t decided on a college yet or if she even wants to go to college. But she’s confident and poised and she’s trusting that God’s going to lead her and direct her steps. She has a certain demeanor about her that exudes confidence…the kind of confidence that’s contagious. She makes other’s feel beautiful and more confident in themselves too. She’s not sure of what the rest of her life is going to look like yet, but she has this passion for photography and she’s running a successful business based on that. At 17. Pretty impressive dont you think? I just love this girl to pieces. She has been such a light in my life and especially in this crazy industry. She’s one of the most loving and encouraging people I’ve ever met! Caroline, I’m so proud of you and of how your living your life and running your business…and I am SO beyond blessed to call you a friend.

When I went to PA for an engagement session I got to meet up with Caroline for lunch and to shoot around a little! We went to Villanova’s campus and even though it was super bright and still pretty early in the afternoon…we had so much fun taking some headshots!
