It was a chilly day…one of the very last days in 2013…but the post holiday blues hadn’t quite sunk in yet and it was the perfect day for a session in downtown Charlottesville with Matt and Jourdan! They still had the beautiful Christmas tree up at the downtown mall and there were so many people there getting a little post Christmas shopping done…Sometimes a gray, dreary day can make for the prettiest colors in pictures…I love how soft and lovely these turned out! Jourdan and Matt were so much fun to hang out with…One of my favorite parts about shooting engagement sessions is getting to know a couple through the way that they interact with each other during our time shooting…I’m always striving for my pictures to represent the relationship that a couple shares. I think that’s what makes a picture special for a couple to look back at years down the road…when it’s not just a pretty picture but truly shows off their relationship and who they are as a couple at the time. Matt and Jourdan are so sweet and genuine and it’s easy to tell that they are each others best friend. I truly enjoyed getting to capture this special time in their lives and I’m so thankful to have gotten to know them! I hope you enjoy my favorites!
