Belle Isle | Jamie and Katelyn

I think it can be challenging for a photographer to take a location that they’ve shot in a dozen times before and see it in a different way…that’s why I always aim to really get to know my couples so that I can make  their relationship the real focus of a session! I think it makes the pictures feel more special because then they’re a representation of their connection and relationship…Jamie and Katelyn made my job SO easy though…They are easy-going and so much fun to be around. I loved heading over the metal footbridge to Belle Isle with the two of them last week. There was a little bit of snow left on the ground which I think make the pictures feel even more special! I actually love shooting in colder weather because I think it encourages couples to stay closer to each other for warmth which gives the images a really cozy feel!

I first met these two at a wedding last year before they were engaged and loved Katelyn right away…She’s really funny and the two of them together have a certain way of making you feel so welcome! So when I got an email from Katelyn after Jamie had popped the question, I was incredibly excited for them and am so thrilled to get to capture their wedding day this year!

Grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy looking through my favorites from their session!
