Every so often I have to pinch myself when I think about the fact that I get to spend time with amazing couples like Julia and Dan as part of my job…at the end of their engagement session they had me wishing that Ryan and I lived closer so that we could get together all the time! Dan and Julia are so genuine and friendly that you can’t help but fall in love with who they are together! I love how it was so easy to tell that he adores her and that she loves and respects him more than anything. It was so evident that their love is built on a solid friendship…I loved seeing them laugh together the whole evening. They are that perfect mix of serious and silly and I love how that comes out in their images!
We met in the Eastern Market district of DC for their session where Dan lives in a quaint row house with stained glass windows just a couple of blocks from Barracks Row — a street full of restaurants, coffee houses and little shops just waiting to be explored. It was there that Julia and Dan had their first date at Cava Mezze. They began dating soon after and now they’re getting married this Fall in DC! I couldn’t be more excited for them! We finished out their session at the Lincoln Memorial complete with a breathtaking sunset. Julia and Dan, thank you so much for an amazing evening! I hope you enjoy my favorites from the day!

Okayyy what is up with you photographing all these gorgeous, classy, Kate Middleton-esque girls!!!! So clear that this couple is so perfectly suited for you!! Love that. Also, her last outfit with the tucked in shirt… obsessed. So polished. They’re all AMAZING, but the two that stopped me in my tracks and took my breath away was the tight tight vertical shot of them sitting on the wrought-iron steps and the last black and white vertical at the end. Gahhhh so stunning and so real.
