They knew early on in their relationship that this was meant to be forever. They fell in love in Blacksburg, Virginia at the very end of their time there while Lauren was interning at a local church and Andy served at the same church by working the soundboard on Sundays…what started out as a friendship where they would see one another around church, quickly escalated when Andy asked Lauren on a date….but after college, everyone tends to head in separate directions…Andy was relocated for his new position in the military, while Lauren headed to the prestigious Duke University in North Carolina to get her degree in nursing…but they say distance makes the heart grow fonder and I can’t wait to see these two become husband and wife!
They couldn’t be more perfect for each other…when spending time with them it’s easy to sense that his laid back attitude and care free ability to have fun makes her feel more care free and relaxed too…and I’d guess that the way she looks at him makes Andy feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Lauren is incredibly beautiful and her confidence in who she is just adds to that beauty. They truly bring out the best in each other!
For their session we made a stop at the ice-cream parlor followed by a romantic picnic in the beautiful gardens at Duke University…I love that Andy and Lauren chose to do their engagement session in locations that represent them perfectly! Since this is where Andy and Lauren have spent most of their time dating, we couldn’t have chosen a better place for our shoot. I hope you enjoy my favorites!

Great pictures! My husband & I lived in Blacksburg (he went to VT & I went to nursing school at Radford) before moving to Raleigh 2 years ago. We actually just visited the Duke Gardens for the first time a few weeks ago. GORGEOUS location for pictures.
