Nick planned the perfect proposal for Jessica at their favorite place in the world…Urbanna is a quaint little town on the water with a laid-back vibe and it’s home to the annual Urbanna Oyster Festival! Nick and Jessica love going to the festival together so Nick arranged for them to go down a day early so that they could relax and spend time with family…he proposed at their river house at sunset and had invited all of their friends to surprise her and help celebrate their engagement! I loved getting to explore this little town with them for their engagement session and can’t wait to go back for their wedding next year! I can’t think of a more fitting place for them to get married…
We started the afternoon at a beautiful plantation home with a tree lined entrance, walked to the docks right next to the quaint downtown area, and then ended the evening on her grandparents boat. This one was so full of pretty that I can’t believe it’s all a part of one shoot! Sometimes everything just falls into place perfectly…we couldn’t have asked for better weather and if you could sum up in one session what I hope for my photos to evoke it would be this one…relaxed but refined, romantic and cozy, full of glowy, dreamy light…
Jess and Nick you two are such a beautiful couple and I’m so honored to get to capture this special time in your lives! Enjoy my favorites!
