Oh I’ve been so excited to share this one! Matt and Charlene planned out their engagement session perfectly and it was such a joy to get to capture them in some of the places they love most…Matt proposed to Charlene at their favorite restaurant in DC, Béarnaise. It’s the cutest little French restaurant! He knows the owner so we worked to recreate the setting and it was perfect! They didn’t have any photos from their proposal so it was especially sweet to capture these in the very spot where he popped the question. They also planned to bring a lock to put on the gate outside of the restaurant with a faux engagement ring on it as a symbol of their engagement! (and of course we had to get a shot of it with her real gorgeous diamond on it!) Then we headed to the rooftop of the Kennedy Center to end the evening at another place they love…they have season tickets to see shows there so it’s another place they love to go together…

It just makes it extra special when couples work so hard to make their sessions fun and memorable! I love that! I connected with these two right away and I am so thrilled to get to be a part of their wedding day next year. April can’t come soon enough!
