On a cold day in January, Mike and Claire were wed at St. Peter’s Church on Capital Hill in DC surrounded by their closest friends and family. For them, having a military background meantĀ that they had friends coming from near and far who have been a part of all different stages of Claire’s life…some were seeing her for the first time in many years as she made her way down the aisle! That fact made this day extra special for their whole family and you could sense the spirit of joy and genuine community throughout the entirety of the eveningĀ as they celebrated together at St. Francis Hall.
As Claire’s sister, Eileen, carefully buttoned up the back of her lace off the shoulder bolero early that afternoon, I knew right away that it as going to be an incredible day! Not only is Claire incredibly beautiful, she is also caring, down to earth, and so much fun to spend time with. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a dream when I get to be a part of such an amazing couple’s wedding day! Mike is every bit as caring and down to earth as Claire and they fit together perfectly.
They first met in college but it wasn’t until years later that they started dating after Mike asked Claire to the Marine Corps ball. Despite being apart for months at a time since they are both in the military, they have the most beautiful relationship and I was so honored to get to capture the day they finally became husband and wife! I hope you enjoy my favorites from their day.Ā
