I met Brandon and Eleanor at the incredible First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach last week for their engagement session and it’s definitely one of my favorite locations to shoot. I grew up spending lots of weekends exploring this park and riding bikes around it with dad, so going back to it always brings a sense of nostalgia. It turns out that Eleanor grew up playing at the same park with her family! Her parents own a beautiful home near the park so they spent lots of time here as well. When we were considering locations for their session, this was the perfect option!
Brandon and Eleanor also have a special place in my heart because they are high school sweethearts! Ryan and I started dating in high school too and there is something about growing up through so many seasons of life from such a young age with the man you are meant to marry that makes you especially thankful for how far you have come together. I’m so excited for them to get married in August and start the next chapter of their lives together!
This session is a new favorite because it makes me feel like we were on the Carolina or Georgia coast…I can’t get enough of these colors or the moss in the trees! We started on one side of the park and ended up at the bay at sunset with a picnic and it was perfect! I hope you enjoy my favorites from our evening together!
