It’s so beautiful how snow can completely transform a location and give it a magical feel for a photo shoot! Katie really wanted a snowy engagement session and I had my doubts that it would happen…It’s super hard to plan around the weather because you just never know if you’re both going to be free at the same time when picking a date and time last minute! But it really could not have worked out more perfectly…and these are some of my new all time favorite portraits! As soon as you see Katie’s long burgundy tulle skirt you’ll understand why…she has the best style and it makes me even more excited to see her wedding plans come together!
We met at her home and then drove through the tiny and quaint town of Clifton (where they got engaged!!) to this beautiful winery…I loved learning more about Katie and Sean and their future plans as we made our way through the snow laughing and talking! They are both teachers and have a dream to work abroad one day…if you know me at all, you know that traveling to new places is one of my favorite things in the world, so I am incredibly excited for them! And I’m very grateful to get to work with amazing couples like them who are adventurous and willing to freeze in the snow for the sake of beautiful photos…
Katie and Sean, thank you so much again for inviting me into this season of your lives! I hope you enjoy my favorites! I’d say freezing our toes was definitely worth it…
