The moment I realize one of my current brides knows one of my past brides from way back in my first few years of business, I always feel a rush of nostalgia mixed with a lot of joy…Lauren is friends with one of the first few brides who hired me to capture her wedding back before I had very much experience…that bride means the world to me because getting started in this industry can be so tough! I’ve since photographed over 100 weddings and my passion for what I do has grown…I don’t know how I got so lucky to work with that bride that helped launch my business years ago…or couples like Lauren and Tyler today who have the biggest hearts and sweetest personalities!
I drove up to the Oatlands Plantation parking lot where I was meeting these two, and Lauren hopped out of the car with a vase of flowers for me since it was my birthday! Cue the tears! I already knew I loved her from her emails, but at that moment I knew these two were going to become one of those special couples to me (like their friends I mentioned who hired me back before I really had experience)…and after spending the evening with them in the gorgeous Leesburg countryside, I’m even more excited for their wedding day! I always tell Ryan it’s a good session when the light is pretty and the location is gorgeous, but most of all when I leave wishing the couple lived closer so we could hang out all the time!
Lauren and Tyler, thank you for choosing me to capture this sweet season in your lives. I hope you enjoy my favorites from our evening exploring this gorgeous plantation and Stone Tower Winery!
