If you ask me, a wedding is about bringing together your closest friends and family to celebrate your marriage vows with you…it should include the things you love most and you shouldn’t feel like you have to adhere to any rules about what your wedding should be. And that’s why when Brittany started talking about how she wanted her wedding to be intimate, unique and very personal, I was super excited!
If I’m being honest, I think we were talking about her wedding plans…hypothetically of course…before she was even engaged…you see, Brittany is my second shooter and over the past few years has become such a dear friend to me. I look forward to getting to spend long hours in the car with her driving all over the state to and from weddings and she is such a joy to get to work with! I’ve loved getting to hear about her relationship from the beginning and am so grateful that these two found each other! Last summer, I had the huge honor of helping Jeremy plan their proposal in France…it’s one of my favorite days to look back on…and ever since that day, to say I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day is an understatement!
They chose to get married on the first day of Fall…a Thursday…and brought together the most incredible vendor team to plan their beautiful, intimate ceremony at the Virginia House here in Richmond. This venue takes you back in time and transports you to Europe all at the same time. It’s ethereal and magical and any other word that makes you feel like your in a Disney princess movie. Tart Event Co. and Amanda Burnette outdid themselves with the styling and florals and Brittany looked stunning in her Rue de Seine gown…I’m thinking Jeremy must have felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
Jeremy is a professional chef so following the ceremony, it was only fitting to treat their guests to dinner at one of their favorite local restaurants. The Roosevelt is in the Churchill area of Richmond and it’s one of Brittany and Jeremy’s favorite date night spots! They shut down the restaurant for the evening and filled it with candles and pretty greenery. The night was full of first dances, toasts to the newlyweds, and lots of amazing food! It was so important to Brittany and Jeremy to make their guests feel taken care of (and as a vendor I felt like a guest! Brittany you were the sweetest bride!). It was the most incredible evening full of so much joy and so many happy tears and I am forever grateful that I got to be a part of it!
I couldn’t even begin to choose my favorites, so Brittany and Jeremy, I hope you enjoy reliving your day through this very long blog post! Love you two!!
