They got engaged soon after living long distance for just over a year…it was especially exciting because Ryan had just found out that he received a promotion and would be moving back to Baltimore soon! They said that even though it was tough, they wouldn’t change it because it made them stronger as a couple. I love that. And I’m so happy for them to get to be living in the same place again as they plan for their beautiful May wedding! He popped the question while they were on vacation with his entire family in Costa Rica where he waited until the fourth day of their trip so she’d give up in hoping for it and wouldn’t expect it…as the sun came up on that fourth day he proposed to her on the beach!
As Allie recounted the story to me she started to talk about how she’d always dreamt of her wedding and loves neutral color palettes and gold…and she had me hooked at that point! I can’t wait to see her dreams come to life! Allie and Ryan are the kind of couple that we’d likely be best friends with if we lived closer…she’s sweet and hilarious and he’s down to earth and clearly adores her. He had just worked an overnight shift before we took these! We met just as the sun was coming up and then took the boat taxi over to the inner harbor…it’s hard to go wrong with pretty morning light and a beautiful couple….
Congratulations again, Allie and Ryan! May can’t come soon enough!
