2014 brought more laughter and adventure than I ever dreamed possible…It’s amazing just to take life step by step and then look back at the journey and all of the beauty that there was in it! From visiting the Georgia coast, to New York City, to Paris, Venice, Scotland and Germany amongst other places…it’s definitely been a year I’ll never forget! Shooting in new places breathes new life and creativity into my work like nothing else, and I definitely attribute feeling like I nailed my style this year partially to that fact!

I loved adding Anniversary

One of the things I love most about the end of the year and the beginning of a new one is getting to look back through all of my work and choose new portfolio images! It’s so fulfilling to see how much I’ve accomplished in such a palpable way and to relive so many special moments that contributed to an amazing year of working…I love seeing the growth and recalling sweet times with amazing clients. I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with so many incredible people in such beautiful places…This past year was one for the books! Old Town Alexandria and soft winter light proved to be a winning combination for Wendy and Mike’s engagement session…it was chilly, but I’m so glad these two were willing to brave the cold because I love how this session turned out! We started at the restaurant where they had their first date and then made our way down cobblestone streets and finished by the water…The windchill was almost unbearable, but you’d never know it from these!

I think there are a few times in life when you meet people that you know are just going to be a part of it forever…no matter how far away they move or how long it’s been since you’ve seen them…Bradford is one of those people for us! He is Ryan’s best friend from high school and since I started dating Ryan in 11th grade, I’ve gotten to see him grow up..and it was such a huge honor for me to get to photograph his wedding day!
