I was so excited to meet Catherine and Andrew in Charlottesville for their engagement session! It is one of my favorite areas near home to shoot because of the beautiful mountains and the relaxed vibe…it suited these two perfectly! Cate and Preston got married on a rainy fall day surrounded by all of their closest friends and family in a quaint little chapel outside of the city. Nick planned the perfect proposal for Jessica at their favorite place in the world…Urbanna is a quaint little town on the water with a laid-back vibe and it’s home to the annual Urbanna Oyster Festival! Nick and Jessica love going to the festival together so Nick arranged for them to go down a day early so that they could relax and spend time with family…he proposed at their river house at sunset and had invited all of their friends to surprise her and help celebrate their engagement! When I think of a Fall engagement session, this is exactly what comes to mind…beautiful orange and red colors in the mountains, cozy outfits, crunchy leaves on the ground, and beautiful views.
