The forecast was calling for rain, but we decided to move forward with our plans to meet at Great Falls in Maryland where Nick and Sarah got engaged….and I’m so glad we did! Even though it rained for half of their session, I love that they were totally willing to keep shooting and to have some fun in the rain! Ohh these two. I just adore them! Kent and Jennifer are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met and I was so excited to get to know them better during their engagement session at the VMFA in the Museum District of Richmond just a few miles from where they live! It’s a place they frequent together for date nights at the museum cafe and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect for this shoot. Something about this sweet Washington DC engagement makes my heart skip a beat…it might be that this couple has dated since high school and that they are finally tying the knot this winter! Or it might be the way that they are so comfortable with each other because of the fact that they have been together for so long…this shoot just seemed to flow so naturally as we walked around the Memorials in the heart of DC.
