Happy Tuesday!! I hope you had a fabulous Easter and that you got to spend time with some of the people who matter most to you! We went to an amazing church service and then had Easter lunch with my family. After that Ryan, Lexie and I spent several hours just laying in the hammock in our backyard talking and napping and enjoying the glorious spring weather. Sometimes during a wedding there are these effortlessly beautiful, magic moments…where time seems to stop and I have to pinch myself because it doesn’t even seem real…In the middle of Dan and Caitlin’s ceremony, a light breeze started to blow through the trees and pink petals started to rain down on them just as they were about to be pronounced husband and wife. Two weeks ago at this time I was sitting in a session at the Winshape Retreat Center for the Connect Retreat no doubt listening to wise words from one of our wonderful speakers and sitting next to some of the greatest friends. In a few hours we’d be eating lunch in the dining hall and then having chickfila ice-cream with oreos on top for dessert. Oh it feels like a happy dream at this point. What I would give to go back to those moments! That week included a lot of driving for Ryan (he doesn’t like when I drive because I drive like a grandma), but it also included a lot of rest, growth for our relationship

This gorgeous springtime weather we’ve been experiencing in Virginia is reminding me that often change is a really good thing…Sometimes I’m resistant to change because I get comfortable in a certain season or doing something a certain way…part of me loves winter and I’m already missing the fact that I can’t wear my favorite scarves anymore without sweating…but the weather for this weekends wedding was positively AMAZING.
