Sometimes during a wedding there are these effortlessly beautiful, magic moments…where time seems to stop and I have to pinch myself because it doesn’t even seem real…In the middle of Dan and Caitlin’s ceremony, a light breeze started to blow through the trees and pink petals started to rain down on them just as they were about to be pronounced husband and wife. Two weeks ago at this time I was sitting in a session at the Winshape Retreat Center for the Connect Retreat no doubt listening to wise words from one of our wonderful speakers and sitting next to some of the greatest friends. In a few hours we’d be eating lunch in the dining hall and then having chickfila ice-cream with oreos on top for dessert. Oh it feels like a happy dream at this point.
