Life is an incredible miracle and it’s a beautiful thing getting to see a first time expectant mother experience the joy and excitement of knowing that they will soon be parents to a precious little one…When Jen asked if I would capture this amazing season in their lives, I was a bit intimidated since I specialize in engagements, weddings, and anniversary sessions, but I was more so just excited to get to play a role in helping them remember the emotion and anticipation they felt as they waited on Conner to arrive! I knew right away that I wanted to approach their session from an emotional

Every so often I have to pinch myself when I think about the fact that I get to spend time with amazing couples like Julia and Dan as part of my job…at the end of their engagement session they had me wishing that Ryan and I lived closer so that we could get together all the time! Dan and Julia are so genuine and friendly that you can’t help but fall in love with who they are together! I love how it was so easy to tell that he adores her and that she loves and respects him more than anything. It was so evident that their love is built on a solid friendship…I loved seeing them laugh together the whole evening.

Every time I shoot at Raspberry Plain I feel like I am living in a Jane Austen novel…even in early March before the sunken garden has had a chance to bloom, there’s something so romantic about this place and it was the perfect setting for Mike and Kristin’s military wedding.

Sometimes I think the best romances are the ones that develop slowly…the kind that are built on solid friendship and grow into something more over time. On their wedding day, Kristin’s sister showed me a picture of them slow dancing together at a friends wedding and explained that it was the first time

They first met in a study group in college at the library…Study groups weren’t really Rob’s thing, but as soon as he started to get to know Erin he decided to stick around…They began studying together and were dating soon after…

There story continues in Richmond where they live in the cutest little row house in the Museum District that is literally a stones throw from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art…such a dream! They love living in the city together and enjoy having so many trendy and amazing restaurants close by…as we walked
