Happy Monday!! This weekend I got to do a lot of relaxing…I had a wedding free weekend at home with Ryan and Lexie…we got some stuff done around the house, but mostly we relaxed…we watched some Grey’s Anatomy, took Lexie on a few walks, hung out in the backyard, and went to a festival for a few hours on Sunday…it was so needed and I am so thankful. I can tell that it was really good for me because, aside from getting inspired to dream big, I also had a major moment of clarity.
I’m a perfectionist by nature and so when I don’t measure up to so and so, it’s easy for me to feel defeated

Just because the new site has launched doesn’t mean this blog series is over! There was so much that went into the new site and brand and I just think it’s fun to share the process…One thing I knew I needed before we could launch it was new headshots…I considered asking a fellow photographer to take them for me, but then I decided it would be a fun opportunity to teach Ryan a little bit about shooting! The hope is that one day he can second shoot with me at weddings if he wants to :)
I’d say he did a really good job! I had just done an engagement shoot at the VMFA right before we took them and I love that place!

Throughout Katie and Allen’s wedding day I heard over and over again from their friends and family what a sweet couple they are…they both have huge hearts to serve and strive to love others well…They love the Lord and want to honor Him with their new marriage and life together…Their ceremony was first and foremost such a beautiful message of Christ’s love and redemption and I was so blessed to have been able to witness them making their vows to each other! I think that’s one of my favorite parts of this job…that I get to capture such a sacred moment in couple’s lives…

Do you ever have one of those weekends that is SO full that you’re actually excited when Monday morning comes around? Not the bad kind of full…just BUSY…sometimes even when I’m busy doing a lot of fun stuff on a weekend, I feel like I need another weekend right away to recover from the weekend…have you ever felt like that?
got to see all of the people I love though which was so much fun! On Friday, Ryan and I took a half day and headed to Williamsburg for a day of shopping, golf, and REST! It was so much fun and very needed..
