So it’s officially been forever since my last “A house is not a home” post where I’m supposed to be documenting the process of Ryan and I turning our little colonial house into a home by making budget conscious changes and updates…You can see the living room Progress here. I guess the huge gap between these posts just shows what a HUGE and time consuming process it is to turn a house into a home! Amen? Unless your Young House Love I guess and that’s your full time job…but even for them home improvements dont happen overnight!

Guys…it’s finally the BIG day…IT’S HERE!!! Can you believe it?? I cant! But you’re visiting my blog on my new website and I cant help but feel a tiny sense of pride that my work finally has a good home that I feel represents it well!!

It’s been a long journey to get to this point…from deciding on a web platform, to choosing a designer (Krista, you are amazing!!!), to picking colors and deciding what general direction to go in with the new look, to trying to select just a few images for the site that I feel represents my work well,

It was a windy, drizzly day, but Lauren and Luke’s wedding could not have been more wonderful…They had planned an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Tappahannock river on the gorgeous Blandfield Plantation property by the hunting lodge…and there was no way a little rain was going to ruin their plans!! I love how calm these two stayed in spite of the rain…although I shouldn’t have been too surprised, because Lauren is actually an event planner..she deals with this kind of stuff all the time! They made the call last minute to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony..and can I just say, I’m SO GLAD THEY DID!

Ohh May…I think back to college when this was about the time I was finishing up exams and gearing up to head home for summer…well now it’s kind of the opposite! The busy season has arrived! I’m so excited for each of my couples who are getting married in the next few months…They are all so special to me and I want to make sure I’m serving them in the best ways possible! That also means I need to kick it into high gear to make sure I’m accomplishing all of my goals…
