I can hardly believe that I’m typing this from my aunt’s garden in Langenzenn, Germany…It feels unreal! I’ve been waiting for this trip to get here for what seems like so long, and I’m so thrilled to be here with my sister and German relatives. It’s been almost exactly two years since I was last here, and although I’m feeling extremely fortunate to be on the other side of the Atlantic for a few days shy of a month (and to be here for work no less!), the time never seems quite long enough. It has been a whirlwind of a summer over here in the AAP office…can you believe we’re already creeping up on late July?! My summer has been filled with Weddings, Anniversary Celebration Sessions, planning a few special projects that I can’t wait to share more about (!!), spending time with family and friends, and organizing the details for our European adventure! I’ve been excited about that last thing ever since Rachel and James booked me last year to photograph their wedding in the UK and I can’t believe it’s finally so close! It’s about to get real guys. I need to start packing soon!

James and Sarah first met their freshmen year of college…and although they didn’t start dating until later, Sarah remembers telling her roommate that year that she would marry James Butler one day. It wasn’t really based on more than a feeling, but as fate would have it here they are almost four years into their marriage and it was crystal clear to me from spending the morning with them that they were meant for each other! I loved getting to help them celebrate their anniversary and love for each other through taking pictures!

Last week at the Connect Marriage Retreat that we went to in Georgia we got to spend time with couples from around the country who also run photography businesses…its’ always fun getting to know people in this type of environment because it allows you to spend so much time with people eating meals, doing activities and just hanging out that it’s easy to form a bond with people really quickly! Jordan and Amy were one of those couples that we got to know last week and I am so thankful for their friendship!
