Old Town Alexandria and soft winter light proved to be a winning combination for Wendy and Mike’s engagement session…it was chilly, but I’m so glad these two were willing to brave the cold because I love how this session turned out! We started at the restaurant where they had their first date and then made our way down cobblestone streets and finished by the water…The windchill was almost unbearable, but you’d never know it from these!

From the first email, I knew I was going to love spending time with them…Wendy has the best

Oh I’ve been so excited to share this one! Matt and Charlene planned out their engagement session perfectly and it was such a joy to get to capture them in some of the places they love most…Matt proposed to Charlene at their favorite restaurant in DC, Béarnaise. It’s the cutest little French restaurant! He knows the owner so we worked to recreate the setting and it was perfect! They didn’t have any photos from their proposal so it was especially sweet to capture these in the very spot where he popped the question. They also planned to bring a lock to put on the gate outside of the restaurant with a faux

I was so excited to meet Catherine and Andrew in Charlottesville for their engagement session! It is one of my favorite areas near home to shoot because of the beautiful mountains and the relaxed vibe…it suited these two perfectly! We met at Ash Lawn-Highland and ended the evening at Carter Mountain…a beautiful apple orchard with breathtaking views! I’m so excited to share these!
Catherine and Andrew met through orientation at their college and became fast friends…it wasn’t until later that they started dating and then they got engaged last Christmas Eve! Andrew hid the ring inside of

Nick planned the perfect proposal for Jessica at their favorite place in the world…Urbanna is a quaint little town on the water with a laid-back vibe and it’s home to the annual Urbanna Oyster Festival! Nick and Jessica love going to the festival together so Nick arranged for them to go down a day early so that they could relax and spend time with family…he proposed at their river house at sunset and had invited all of their friends to surprise her and help celebrate their engagement! I loved getting to explore this little town with them for their engagement session and can’t wait to go back for
