When I think of a Fall engagement session, this is exactly what comes to mind…beautiful orange and red colors in the mountains, cozy outfits, crunchy leaves on the ground, and beautiful views. I think it’s because of my college years spent at Virginia Tech…I’ll always think Fall in the mountains is the prettiest! And Staunton definitely did not disappoint…

I loved spending the evening with Matt and Meredith walking around the cute downtown area! They took me to the spot where they got engaged, which was also where they

The forecast was calling for rain, but we decided to move forward with our plans to meet at Great Falls in Maryland where Nick and Sarah got engaged….and I’m so glad we did! Even though it rained for half of their session, I love that they were totally willing to keep shooting and to have some fun in the rain! They kicked off their shoes and kissed in the rain and embraced the downpour…and I love that when I look through these images I think of them as a metaphor for life and marriage…sometimes you just have to embrace the rain! And I’m so glad they were up for it because I love

Ohh these two. I just adore them! Kent and Jennifer are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met and I was so excited to get to know them better during their engagement session at the VMFA in the Museum District of Richmond just a few miles from where they live! It’s a place they frequent together for date nights at the museum cafe and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect for this shoot. I love getting to help couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera…it doesn’t come naturally for most people, but these two made my job so easy! And I definitely have another new

Something about this sweet Washington DC engagement makes my heart skip a beat…it might be that this couple has dated since high school and that they are finally tying the knot this winter! Or it might be the way that they are so comfortable with each other because of the fact that they have been together for so long…this shoot just seemed to flow so naturally as we walked around the Memorials in the heart of DC. It Also might be because they are such a beautiful, sweet, and fun couple so it was impossible not to enjoy my time with them! On second thought, I think it’s probably all of these things
