Neil and Kelsey first met their freshman year of college because they lived in the same dorm. They became friends and started studying together all the time, but it wasn’t until years later at the end of college that they finally admitted to liking each other. They say that it’s kind of a shame because they are now living hours apart until the wedding and dating would have been much more convenient when they lived in the same town! But really it worked out how it was supposed to and they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I always enjoy getting to tell the story of a couples relationship through

They first met in an art class in college…they were dating other people at the time and didn’t hit it off until a year later when their paths crossed again. But that second time they connected right away…they share a love for the arts…she’s a writer, and he enjoys photography. With their history in fine arts they both have an eye for beauty so their pictures are important to them as a couple which just makes me love them even more! They live in an adorable eclectic apartment in Norfolk that has gorgeous views of the city…Dakota surprised Evelyn by asking her to marry him at the Pagoda there which

They met through work when Emily was transitioning out of a job and Jim was transitioning in…they became friends and it didn’t take too long before they realized that it could be something more! They pair together so well…she’s fun and outgoing and he’s got that laid back surfer vibe going on…which only makes sense because these two love the beach! They even got engaged on a gorgeous beach in California…

I’d been looking forward to their engagement session for a long time…originally we had planned to shoot in the fall, but ultimately

Every so often I have to pinch myself when I think about the fact that I get to spend time with amazing couples like Julia and Dan as part of my job…at the end of their engagement session they had me wishing that Ryan and I lived closer so that we could get together all the time! Dan and Julia are so genuine and friendly that you can’t help but fall in love with who they are together! I love how it was so easy to tell that he adores her and that she loves and respects him more than anything. It was so evident that their love is built on a solid friendship…I loved seeing them laugh together the whole evening.
