first met Deanna in my home a few months ago when we decided to set up a meeting to get to know one another to see if I would be a good fit to work with them and capture their wedding day…It’s kind of fun because before I meet with a new bride, I always try to imagine what they are like from their emails…sometimes I’m completely off, but Deanna was just the type of bride I expected! She’s so sweet and kind-hearted and I loved listening to her talk about her fiancé, Phil, in that initial meeting…These two currently have a long distance relationship so they are obviously so excited to get married and begin their life together this summer!

met Chris and Clare for their session at Chris’ home in Arlington on a pretty sunny afternoon…and I was greeted at the door by the sweetest (big!) puppy! Woodrow is probably three times as big as Lexie (our little cockapoo!) and is the type of dog that my husband, Ryan, probably would have preferred to get…He loves Lexie now and we cant imagine ourselves with any other dog at this point! But I can see why people love puppies like this…he is so fun and I couldn’t believe how obedient he was even though he is just a puppy! He actually even posed for a couple shots…

I love these two because they are so easy going…They live really close to the city and wanted to shoot with the Cherry Blossoms…unfortunately, because of the crazy weather we’ve had this spring, the blossoms didn’t actually bloom until a few days after their session…but we worked with the few trees we could find that were just beginning to open up! Lindsey and Tim are tying the knot in the Boston area where their family lives next year, but wanted their engagement session to commemorate this time in their life that they’re living in DC! That’s one of the things I love about pictures…being able to look back and remember certain times in my life…I still go back and look at Ryan and I’s engagement pictures, because it’s so fun to think about what life was like at that time and how much has changed since then!
