I think that the love of a mother is one of the most beautiful and fascinating and pure types of love. It’s incredible to watch a mother grow more in love with her precious little one as her belly grows and the date of her baby’s arrival gets closer and closer! Although this is a step away from the normal shoots I do, it’s so amazing to watch my friends become mothers and these photos of this growing little family are easily some of my new favorites…I love photographing love and it is so easy to capture between a couple as they are awaiting the arrival of a new baby! Two weeks ago at this time I was sitting in a session at the Winshape Retreat Center for the Connect Retreat no doubt listening to wise words from one of our wonderful speakers and sitting next to some of the greatest friends. In a few hours we’d be eating lunch in the dining hall and then having chickfila ice-cream with oreos on top for dessert. Oh it feels like a happy dream at this point. Last week at the Connect Marriage Retreat that we went to in Georgia we got to spend time with couples from around the country who also run photography businesses…its’ always fun getting to know people in this type of environment because it allows you to spend so much time with people eating meals, doing activities and just hanging out that it’s easy to form a bond with people really quickly!
