Every time I shoot at Raspberry Plain I feel like I am living in a Jane Austen novel…even in early March before the sunken garden has had a chance to bloom, there’s something so romantic about this place and it was the perfect setting for Mike and Kristin’s military wedding.

Sometimes I think the best romances are the ones that develop slowly…the kind that are built on solid friendship and grow into something more over time. On their wedding day, Kristin’s sister showed me a picture of them slow dancing together at a friends wedding and explained that it was the first time

“It was sort of a whirlwind romance, but with God at the center of it, we were told it wasn’t fate or chance, but providence.” Joe and Caroline grew up in the same community going to the same church…in fact, their families even knew each other, but somehow they never got to be friends with each other as they went to different schools. It wasn’t until Caroline had graduated from college and Joey was home from West Point for winter break that they bumped into each other one night when they were out with friends and started talking as if they were old friends…One thing lead to another and soon

As I went back through all of my wedding blog posts from this past year to find some of my favorites from each one, I was overwhelmed with so many emotions…I can’t believe that 2013 has officially come to a close and we are now entering a brand new year! Last year seemed to fly by…I loved reflecting on each of these wedding days and how I was so blessed by each of them. I’m so incredibly thankful for each of these couples who made it possible for me to quit my day job this year to become a full time wedding photographer…27 weddings was a lot for me to handle and I’ve decided to limit the number

Courtney and James share that kind of relationship that is so heartwarming…they are truly each others best friend in every way and it was such a joy to see them tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony at a quaint little church surrounded by their closest friends and family. They are the kind of people that make you feel so welcome and I’m so thankful to have been a part of their special day! It was a dream holiday wedding from start to finish…from Courtney’s sparkly tulle dress, to the gorgeous winter florals, to a special surprise appearance from Buddy the Elf and a hot chocolate bar at their reception…I couldn’t help but feel
