Beth and Mark | Historic Occoquan Engagement Session

When Beth suggested we take her and Mark’s engagement pictures in Occoquan, I had never even heard of it before! After looking it up I realized that it was about a ten minute drive from my grandparents house, and then I couldn’t believe I’d never visited it before! It’s such an adorable little historic town on the water…Beth grew up visiting it with friends and even worked at a restaurant there…I especially love shooting at locations like this that have meaning! It makes it that much more special for the couple…

We met at a little coffee shop there, and after the first five minutes of our meeting I already knew I loved them…I loved hearing about their lives and how their wedding plans were coming along…They are such a sweet and down to earth couple! It’s so evident that they love the Lord and care so much about their friends and family…and I love how they obviously adore each other…just from hanging out with them for a few hours I could tell how much fun they have together and how solid their relationship is….These are the things that make me so excited to get to be a part of their big day!!

We started the session by the coffee shop and made our way around the town (which wasn’t difficult..it’s pretty teeny!) and then headed down to the water…Next time my family visits my grandparents house, I think I’m going to make all of them take a trip to Occoquan because I loved it so much!

Enjoy my favorites from the shoot!

Thank you to whoever owns this yellow chair!

So sweet.

These were taken in front of the cute coffee shop we met at!

The light was so pretty in this little garden…

Then we headed down to the dock!

Love this…

Beth has the prettiest smile…I am so jealous of how bright and white her teeth are! (that might be a weird thing to say?)

Mark was a natural at the whole photo shoot thing…

love this!

Beth, you’re so beautiful!!

These are my favorites on the bridge…

Then we headed down to the water for a few more as the sun started to go down!

Beth, you made me decide I definitely need a necklace like that…

Another favorite…

Happy Weekend!!! Mark and Beth, thank you for letting me capture your joy during this exciting time in your lives! I can’t wait for your wedding!
