I think one of the things I like most about Tess is that she’s so joyful…Her laugh is infectious and when she smiles you can’t help but smile too…And I loved that this was true for her fiancé George too…You could just tell that he’s so excited to get to be marrying her…

Tess is also really sweet and easy to talk to…I loved meeting up with her and her mom for our initial meeting…listening to them excitedly talk about the plans that they had made so far for George and Tess’s big day just filled me up with joy…I get so excited for each of the couples that I get to work with…And every time I hear a bride talking about her wedding and all the detailed plans she’s making for it, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with excitement and humility that I get to play a part in one of the most important days of their lives. I just love that feeling!

Tess asked me if I thought taking their engagement photos at the place where they are getting married was a good idea…and I immediately said yes! If your wedding location is gorgeous and you love it, it can be a good thing for me to get to see it early and it’s especially awesome if we’re shooting your engagement photos in a different season than your wedding!

We headed out to Amber Grove early one morning for their sunrise session..it ended up being a gray and rainy kind of morning, but I absolutely loved the soft light and how these depict Fall so well!
