I’m sitting here trying to get work done, but I keep getting distracted by staring out the window because its SNOWING…and it’s actually STICKING and its BEAUTIFUL! I love when it snows…aside from the part where you have to scrape it off of your car windows, I really love it. I’m one of those people who’s really into atmosphere and aesthetics…for example if I go to a restaurant that has decent food, but a REALLY fun or pretty atmosphere..I will consider that restaurant AMAZING (which Ryan doesn’t really understand because he’s just really into the food part). Similarly, even though I don’t really like being cold, I LOVE watching the snow fall while drinking hot chocolate and the feeling that the snowy atmosphere brings…(did that analogy work? I’m not really sure, but I like it so I’m going with it…)..Also this weather is making me SO excited to go skiing in a few weeks!

I got to a point where I couldn’t stand just staring at the snow out the window any longer so I put on my boots and ran around outside for a few minutes just for fun…this is the first snowfall we’ve had while living in our first little house! And those are my J. Crew boots with Bernese Mountain Dogs on them…they were crucial during my time in Blacksburg where it snowed a lot more than it does here…

And as far as the weekly wrap-up goes…I’m having trouble remembering much of what I did this week because I’m so excited about the snow! Also this week somehow went by really fast and on Wednesday, I legitimately thought it was TUESDAY because I accidentally posted a Tuesday Tips post. Oops..2013 please slow down!! Here are some things that happened this week…

• I went running with my good friend Melanie in 20 degree weather…to me that’s REALLLY cold and I felt like I was going to be permanently frozen afterwards…I have bad circulation so my fingers and toes were cold for at least 2 hours afterwards…
• MY NEW LOGO IS ALMOST FINALIZED! I am so excited about it!
• I got to meet with Katelyn James for a session to evaluate the progress I’ve made with my business and to pinpoint ways that I can keep growing this year! And it was fun just to catch up. I ALSO got to meet with one of my other photography friends for coffee this week..I’m so so thankful for all of the encouraging people in this industry who are in my life!
• Ryan and I had the opportunity with our church small group to bring dinner to a local homeless shelter this week…This was a really cool and humbling experience.
• Anddd I finally got a frame for this print that Ryan got me for Christmas! I had seen a few of my friends and fellow photographers who had bought this print, and I KNEW I needed this reminder daily..so now it’s sitting right next to me on my desk and I’m so thankful for the truth behind these words. Also I just love Emily Ley..if you havnt checked out her website and the stuff she sells, you should do so NOW:).
