Grey’s Anatomy, lazy weekends, and finding good deals…

This past weekend I am not ashamed to admit that Ryan and I watched  SEVEN episodes of our new favorite show on Netflix, Grey’s Anatomy (first of all, WHY didn’t I start watching this show years ago?? and okay maybe we are a little ashamed but bear with me….)…you see..this was the last weekend that we have free for a while..like until the end of MARCH…dont worry some of the weekends between now and then will be spent taking fun trips…for example, we are going skiing with some of our best friends in February! But to me, that’s different. I really value time at home…Occasionally I love a weekend at home where Ryan and I spend Saturday morning drinking coffee, having a big breakfast and reading, then the majority of the day getting stuff done around the house, then maybe going for a walk to Starbucks, and then the evening just relaxing and hanging out and watching tv. Sometimes we are pretty boring people and I decided I’m okay with that…I think it’s good to be boring with the people you love sometimes! I think sometimes it’s important to give yourself permission to let go completely and turn your brain off (that’s hard for me!) and just relax. Maybe for you that means reading a whole book in one day, or maybe it means watching a whole season of a show on Netflix, or maybe it means spending a whole afternoon making crafts…All I know is I’m really learning to value my lazy Saturday’s with Ryan because soon it will be wedding season and I won’t get very many of them for a while…I’m working on convincing him to travel to the farther away weddings with me though:).

Whatever “boring” looks like for you…I hope you’re making time to let go so that you can recharge and have energy to focus on doing the things that really matter and to work towards making things happen! After lots of rest, I am really looking forward to getting things done this week! Happy Monday!!

Oh and today I found this petal/peachy colored ribbon on clearance and bought all of it for THREE DOLLARS…major win. I love a good deal. I’m so excited to use it in my new packaging…

Lazy Saturdays at home with the husband are the BEST kinds of Saturdays! Like you, I love a good trip or a fun adventure, but nothing compares to the relaxation you can have while being home together (and maybe getting a few things done around the house) – I think wedding photographers especially appreciate it because we rarely get those Saturdays with NO plans! :)

That is totally my ideal boring weekend too! Home with the hubs, lazying around, reading, watching TV/Movies, with nothing that has to be done. :) Love it!

Isn’t Netflix one of the greatest inventions ever!? I am so with you. I love lazy weekends with my husband, I wish we had more of those!
