the weekly wrap-up | Happy birthday Ryan!

Tomorrow is Ryan’s birthday and I think I’m more excited than he is! I am a huge lover of celebrating birthdays..they don’t come around that often after all! The first year that we were dating back in high school, I made one of my best friends drive to Ryan’s house with me at 5:30 in the morning to decorate his car with balloons and window paint…and then (because of course we didn’t bother to check the weather) it poured down RAIN before he even walked outside to see it…so when he did see it the window paint was running down the sides of his car, the balloons were deflating and hanging really low to the ground, and the card I had taped to his window was soaking wet…please don’t judge me based on this story because I was only 16! It was the thought that counted right? Not the best idea I ever had.

This picture is totally unrelated to birthdays I just like it of Ryan and I feel kind of cool in my aviators. Ryan is my best friend and I’m so thankful for him and the love and support he gives me on a daily basis! Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Tonight we are going out to eat to celebrate with some of our good friends, and then this weekend we are heading down to Campbell University with Ryan’s parents to visit his little brother Kyle at college for the first time! I’m excited to get away for a few days and spend time with family!

As usual here’s the weekly wrap-up!

  • This week I finally documented the progress we’ve been making on our living room! I was so overwhelmed and thankful for the good response to it! I’m excited to continue sharing about our little house…
  • I got to have coffee with a few of my photog friends and I was reminded once again how thankful I am to be a part of such an amazing community of people who are all so fun and encouraging!
  • I headed to DC for an engagement session on possibly the windiest day of the year..I had so much fun hanging out with the couple but I was so sad that the weather interrupted our session part way through!
  • I went to a women’s time meeting at my church last night…It was so fun and refreshing getting to hang out and hear from women who have lived a lot more life than me…and I loved the message that we get a fresh start everyday!

Now I’m off to bake Ryan a birthday cake and pick up his present (which I’m really excited about!!!)

Happy Weekend! (And Happy FEBRUARY…oh my gosh January went by TOO fast…)
