Richmond, VA Styled Shoot | Calling all newlyweds!

I’ve always loved event planning…I actually thought I wanted to be a wedding planner for the majority of my life…Well obviously I didn’t become a wedding planner…and it turns out that something I love even more than event planning is actually event design..but it’s a TON of work…I think back on the number of hours I must’ve put into designing centerpieces, props, programs, invitations, and all the other little details of my wedding and I dont know the exact number but I know it was A LOT. Like I probably spent more hours planning than I did on my college course work at the time..okay maybe that’s a small exaggeration, but I definitely invested a lot of time!

Sometimes I really miss it though! So the natural thing for me to do was obviously to plan a styled shoot..the small problem is that I dont have enough time or the resources to do it by myself…and that’s where Michelle of Michelle Amarillo Event Planning comes in…I already love this girl..I emailed her a couple of weeks ago explaining my big idea to her and asking if she’d like to be a part of it…and I was SO thrilled when she responded that she would love to design it! I dont want to give away any of the theme or design details just yet…but I will tell you that it’s taking place at a gorgeous mansion on the river… (AHHH!)…I’m also so excited about it because shooting just for fun really takes the pressure off and allows you to experiment and try new things…It’s going to be my first one so that’s a little nerve wracking..but it’s really just for fun!

So here’s where the importance of this post comes in: The couple who was going to model for us is not able to anymore, so we need models for the shoot! ***If you are recently married (ie. in the last 3 or so years), still own your wedding dress, and are interested and available to model for our shoot the afternoon of Wednesday, April 10 in Richmond, VA. send me an email at anna@annamarieakinsphotography.com with a picture of you and your husband in your wedding attire!***  To thank the couple who models for us for their time and support, I will be giving them the high res image files and printing rights. And maybe it could be a blessing to someone who didn’t love their wedding photos!

If you know of anyone who may be interested, I’d love it if you would pass this along!

Happy Wednesday!
