Confessions of a girl in the Rebranding Process | Slow and Steady

If you know me you know I’m one of the most indecisive people on the planet…but seriously. Last week it took me DAYS to decide where I wanted to go to dinner to celebrate my birthday with friends…I’m that girl that will put something on hold at a store at the mall so that I can walk around and think about it for a while before I decide to buy it just to make sure I REALLY want it. I guess I always get scared of having regrets. Such as, what if I choose to go to Bonefish Grill for dinner, but then regret not being able to get the Chicken Bryan from Carraba’s? These are obviously not life or death decisions here..I’m actually super decisive when it comes to the really big decisions…I think with the big ones you just know. For example, when I decided to rebrand..I just knew it was right the time to invest in it. I wasn’t worried that rebranding might be a mistake, because I was starting to outgrow this little blog and it just made sense.

All of the little details that go into rebranding though are an ENTIRELY different story…when I first contacted my designer, Krista, and she said she could have my website and rebranding done in 6 weeks, I thought to myself “Ohh that would be a MIRACLE!”…Not at all because I doubted Krista’s skills or ability to do so..but because I know myself and I just knew that making each little decision for the site was going to be a challenge…and that’s the understatement…I’m really proud of the slow and steady progress we are making on it though..it’s getting there!

Guys, I’m really excited about it..but also nervous if I’m being honest…the downside to putting all of this thought into something is knowing that not everyone will like it..but I’m trying to be okay with that and just appreciate the fact that I am going to LOVE it!! I’m so happy to be moving forward even if it’s taking a while. As I’m working with Krista on the virtual world of AAP, I’m also revamping my packaging and materials to match it!

Unfortunately, worrying comes easy to me, so of course as we get closer to completing it I’m also getting nervous about revealing it to the world! But hopefully as long as I’m putting passion into my work..my new site and branding will just enhance it more and help my brides have the best wedding photography experience possible!

I’m thinking next week it will be time for the big logo reveal…(ahhh! I just love it and hope you do too!)…And then hopefully it won’t be too long before the whole sites finished!

But for now…here’s a peek at the newest addition to our little family…I’ll be doing a formal introduction on the blog with all of her first portraits soon! But I couldn’t resist sharing a little cuteness! You can tell she just wanted to be running around and was clearly not thrilled when Ryan tried to get her to pose for the camera…

Oh my goodness she is too cute!! Can’t wait to see more of that little pup. Also, I will compete as your rival for world’s most indecisive person – it’s just so hard to “kill the puppies” as they say. That’s very “N” on the Myers-Briggs scale – you just want to weigh ALL the options to make the BEST possible decision! The good thing is that you probably do make very good decisions. The downside is that it’s also hard (at least for me) to be 100% happy with the choice I did make, esp if it doesn’t turn out so great. Anyways, I can’t wait to see your rebrand! I’m sure it will be so great since you’re spending so much time on it ;)

First of all, I am the EXACT same way on the indecision front! I talk myself out of everything, I can’t ever pick a restaurant, and I love Carraba’s Bryan Chicken lol. Secondly, your puppy is one of the cutest things that ever walked the planet!! So so precious!! Can’t wait to see all your rebranding come together! :)

AHHH! So excited about your new puppy! She is adorable:) And, as a person who also has a terrible time making decisions, I loved your description and advice. Slow and steady is the way to go:)
