Have you heard the saying that it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day? I think it’s true…and I’m going to add that it’s extra good luck if a rainbow appears during your reception!

I arrived at the Amber Grove Inn the afternoon of George and Tess’s wedding and the sky looked gorgeous…there were big puffy white clouds and it looked like the rain was going to hold off…we got part way through the day and then all of a sudden the sky just let loose and dropped buckets of water…Tess was SO calm though, despite the rain, and I could tell she was just so excited to be marrying her best friend…a little rain wasnt going to ruin anything!! It eventually stopped for a while which allowed us to get some pretty portraits with the overcast lighting…

I loved getting to share in the joy that was such a huge part of this day! And it was extra fun because I had previously taken some family portraits for Tess’s family..they are such a great group of people and it was so much fun to get to be around them again for the wedding!
