I love engagement sessions because it provides a time for me to get to know a couple a little better before their wedding day…It’s a great warm up for the wedding day because we dont have a strict timeline to follow and I can learn a little more about a couple and their story because I’m able to talk and ask questions in between portrait spots! Jonathan is a teacher and Annie is about to start her first year of teaching right after they get married in August…That’s a lot of change coming at once, but Annie is super organized and on top of things so I know she’s going to thrive in this next stage of life! Jonathan is so laid back and you can tell he is head over heals for Annie…most grooms don’t LOVE the idea of taking pictures for over an hour, but Jonathan had such a great attitude about it despite being unsure at first and I think their love for each other really shows in the pictures!
Occoquan is such a pretty place…I think it’s one of those best kept secrets because so many people havnt heard of it! It’s a cute little town in Northern Virginia on the water full of character, cute shops, and some fun restaurants on the water and it made for a great backdrop for a portrait session! Annie and Jonathan, I hope you enjoy my favorites from the shoot! I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day with you in just a few short weeks!

LOVE all of these pictures. They are gorgeous! Personal favorites are the ones on the stairs… it is so evident how much those two love one another! Now bring on the wedding. :)
