Laura and Max will always have a special place in my heart because they were one of the very FIRST couples to book me for their wedding…To me it is always such an incredible honor to be chosen to be a part of my brides and grooms’ wedding day because they are trusting me to capture memories of one of the biggest days of their lives! I loved Laura and her vision for her wedding from the very first time I met her to talk about her wedding plans…she’s creative and has a really unique vision and I love that! I LOVE when couples put their heart into their wedding day because it marks the beginning of life with their best friend and Laura and Max’s offbeat day was absolutely perfect for them. From their personalized wedding vows, to the brides flower crown and bouquet that she put together herself, to the song that her dad played for them at the reception…It was truly an amazing day and I feel so privileged to have been there!
On a gorgeous September day they said their vows on the beach in the Outer-banks of North Carolina surrounded by their closest friends and family…It was one of the most heartwarming ceremonies. Then we celebrated at The Brine and Bottle, which is a cute and relaxed little restaurant on the water. It was amazing and this will go down in history as one of my favorite weddings to have been a part of because it was such a perfect representation of them as a couple! From the time I arrived until the very end of the night, Laura and Max were both so laid-back and just excited to have fun and celebrate the beginning of the rest of their lives together…and the fact that Laura was just as excited as I was about her portraits made it even better…this girl climbed to the top of Jockey’s Ridge in her wedding gown! That’s commitment. And I think it was so worth it…I am so excited to share all of my favorite pictures from their day with you!
Laura and Max, thank you again for having me be a part of your day! I hope you had an amazing honeymoon in Ireland!
When they walked into their reception, Max surprised Laura with this chalk painting on the wall because they share a love of dinosaurs…I think she loved it!

Wow, these are fantastic! The lighting is so perfect. I’m usually not a big fan of B&W photographs but the B&W’s here are beautiful. Great work!
