Jack and Marie | The Hendry House

I’d been looking forward to Marie and Jack’s big day since I met them in Georgetown for their engagement session back in the spring! These two are so fun and have such great, classic style so I knew I was going to love being a part of their wedding day at The Hendry House in Arlington…

And even a downpour couldn’t keep their day from being absolutely amazing!  My amazing second shooter, Brittany, and I arrived that afternoon and started praying that the rain would hold off at least until after the first look….After Marie and Jack had finished getting ready, it still wasn’t raining so we had Jack wait outside in the spot that we had chosen for the first look…As soon as we went back inside to tell Marie we were ready for her to come outside, the sky let loose and it started POURING down rain. I have to give Jack credit because he stayed exactly in the spot we had asked him too without an umbrella even though it was raining so hard! Marie made her way outside with a classic black umbrella for what is now one of my favorite first looks because it was so special…There were parts of their wedding day that didn’t go according to plan because it didn’t stop raining the entire day, but sometimes I think those are the best days because they are the most memorable ones! Marie and Jack, I am so thankful to have been a part of your wedding and I hope you enjoy my favorites from the day!

They didn’t plan to have a traditional cake cutting even though Jack had mentioned wanting one, so Marie surprised him with a little cake! It was so sweet!

Congratulations again, Marie and Jack!!
