When Kat, of Dear Sweetheart Events, approached me with the idea for this shoot several months ago, I was immediately smitten…I absolutely adore photographing military weddings…so a styled shoot that would tell the story of a bride waiting for her groom (clad in military dress blues no less!) to make it home for Christmas in time just tugged at my heart strings…and I love how we were able to capture the story so clearly…Can’t you just hear Bing Crosby singing “I’ll be Home for Christmas”?

We were so excited to have it featured on the Southeast Style me Pretty blog this week and I couldn’t wait to share the rest here! Kat did an incredible job putting her heart into setting the scene…the details were perfect and I’m so proud of how she brought it all together! Amanda of Into It Events (but I also like to refer to her as the queen of floral arranging) did an outstanding job putting together the prettiest bouquets and arrangements plus an out of this world beautiful table runner made of greenery…and our gorgeous models couldn’t have been more perfect for the shoot! The super sweet Regan of Regan Carter Photography has that “girl next door” Mandy Moore look going for her and she and her husband Strom, are a real life military couple who have experienced the hardship of a long distance relationship during the time when he was deployed.
