Hudson and Alison

I had the INCREDIBLE honor of getting to go to Texas this month to capture Alison and Hudson’s engagement session as well as her bridal portraits… I had never been to Texas so I was looking forward to seeing this beautiful part of the country (and to visiting Magnolia as a Chip and Jojo fan!!), but more than anything I couldn’t wait to meet these two!!

After months of emailing back and forth, Ryan, Gray and I got on a plane and landed in Dallas for the sessions! First, I met up with Alison for her bridal shoot and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met!! AND she’s absolutely gorgeous… I CAN’T WAIT until I get to share her portraits after the wedding in November…

We did the first session at the most dreamy spot in the Highland Park area and it was the perfect backdrop… so perfect that I suggested we go back again for the end of their engagement session!!

We started their engagements at a pretty lake with grassy fields and I was. in. heaven. I stepped in some kind of native Texas nettle at one point, but IT WAS WORTH IT!! Just wait until you see these… Alison’s style is perfection and since she’s a photographer herself, she made my job so easy!!

Hudson and Alison, thank you so much for taking me to these Texas spots and for trusting me with your photos!! I absolutely can’t wait to get to photograph you again on your wedding day!! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites (it was soo hard to narrow them down!!):
