This past Fall I went to the United Conference in Arizona for Photographers and Creatives that’s hosted by Showit…there was a fancy gala one night during the event and it was there that I just happened to sit next to Showit’s founder Todd Watson and his wife Elisa for dinner. And I think it was somewhere in the middle of that dinner as Elisa was telling me about her family and the vision for their company that I decided I HAD to HAVE a Showit website so I could join the Showit family ASAP! Because I’m a big believer in supporting businesses when the people behind them are full of integrity and have set out to make a positive impact on the world. And I’m SO excited that the day I join the Showit family is finally HERE!
I’ve been working with Jen Olmstead over the past year on The Creative Catalog, so it was a given when I decided to switch to Showit that I had to have her design my photography website too. There is no one who can simultaneously create beautiful web designs, have a dance party with her 1 year old, Serena, cook a gourmet meal for you, AND make you laugh…all while actually making you enjoy the branding process (that can be overwhelming and draining!). Mostly Jen designs things and I just say “Yes, that’s perfect!” No changes necessary. She really is brilliant. Jen, I am forever grateful for your friendship and all of your hard work. Thank you for making all of my design dreams come true!
I started with a Tonic Site Shop design and Jen tweaked it until it was a perfect representation of my brand and work. We wanted to maintain the elegance but add a more relaxed, European countryside feel. I love photographing weddings for couples who dream of a relaxed wedding day full of charm and details that are tailored to them as a couple and I wanted a place for my work that would speak to that! I love how simple and delicate it looks and how understated the branding is. I think it really helps my work and style shine and I’m so excited about that!!
